Sam Whipple

Associate Attorney

Sam Whipple is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Sam earned his law degree in 2020 from Yale Law School, where he served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal and participated in the Housing and Legislative Advocacy clinics. He earned undergraduate degrees in political science and economics, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

From 2021–2022, he clerked for Chief Judge Algenon L. Marbley of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Sam is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
