Snezhana Stadnik Tapia is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is an active member of the firm’s Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Data Innovation Practice Group and practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Stadnik regularly consults with clients on privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technology matters, including regulatory investigations and compliance counseling. This experience includes advising clients on evolving privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) Cybersecurity Regulation, and other federal, state, and international laws and regulations. Additionally, Ms. Stadnik advises companies on data breach response management and counsels clients in a wide range of transactional matters regarding privacy, cybersecurity and data protection compliance. Ms. Stadnik maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes counseling clients on matters pertaining to privacy and cybersecurity, as well as immigration law.
Ms. Stadnik earned her Juris Doctor in 2018 from New York University School of Law, where she served as online editor for the Journal of International Law and Politics. During law school, she explored transnational regulatory issues with respect to global digital technologies as a research assistant and worked on data governance and privacy issues at an urban innovation tech company. Ms. Stadnik graduated with honors from the University of Washington in 2011 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.B.A. in Business Administration.
Before law school, Ms. Stadnik taught middle school math as a Teach For America corps member in California and at an international school in Germany.
Ms. Stadnik is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
