Vladimir Semendyai is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, the Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group, and the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Vladimir has experience in all phases of litigation, including motions practice, fact discovery, drafting claim constructions, trial preparation, trial, drafting appellate briefs, and oral argument preparation.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before his clerkship, Vladimir was an associate at a global law firm where he litigated complex patent and false advertising cases relating to electronics, software, and pharmaceuticals before both trial and appellate forums.
He earned his Juris Doctor degree with High Honors in 2016 from the George Washington University Law School, where he was an editor of the George Washington Law Review and served as Technology Chair of the George Washington Law Moot Court Board. During law school, Vladimir also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Susan G. Braden on the United States Court of Federal Claims, where he was responsible for drafting the Local Patent Rules for the Court and working on a claim construction opinion. Prior to his career as an attorney, he worked for eight years as a software developer.
Vladimir is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, the State of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
