Reed Sawyers is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Appellate and Constitutional Law and Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice groups.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, he served as a law clerk to Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and to Chief Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Reed received his law degree from Stanford Law School, where he served as Articles Editor of the Stanford Law Review, Managing Editor of the Stanford Law and Policy Review, and as a member of the Stanford Religious Liberty Clinic. He graduated magna cum laude from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
He is admitted to practice in the State of California and the District of Columbia and before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Sixth, Ninth, and D.C. Circuits.
