BIOGRAPHY

Emily Rumble is an associate in Hong Kong and is a member of the Litigation Practice Group.

She advises international financial institutions on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues. Emily has advised clients on a range of significant regulatory investigations, including in relation to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing and sponsor misconduct, in both Hong Kong and Australia. She also regularly advises clients on complex non-contentious regulatory matters, with a particular focus on culture, conduct and governance matters, including the implementation of senior management accountability regimes across the Asia-Pacific region. Emily also advises clients on licensing and misconduct matters more broadly.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Emily trained and practiced at the Sydney and Hong Kong offices of an international law firm, and was an associate to Justice Annabelle Bennett of the Federal Court of Australia.

She has First Class Honours degrees in Law and History from the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford, where she specialized in financial and corporate regulation. Emily is admitted to practice in New South Wales, Australia, and in Hong Kong.
