Ian Lurie is a corporate associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm’s Global Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group and Investment Funds Practice Group. His practice focuses on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments, the organization and operation of private investment funds and general corporate governance matters. His representations include transactions in the technology, energy, media, life sciences, hospitality and real estate sectors.
Ian maintains an active pro bono practice, including assisting with the formation of a number of non-profit organizations. He is an active member of the Cardozo Society of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and received the Top Attorneys Under 40 award in 2019.
Ian graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2016. While in law school, he served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Law and worked as a legal intern for an investment and wealth management firm in Philadelphia. He received his B.A. summa cum laude in history in 2012 from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ian was a corporate associate in the Dallas office of Baker Botts L.L.P. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.
