Nicole (JungEun) Lee is Of Counsel in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Washington, D.C. office. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing primarily on white collar criminal defense, corporate compliance, and complex civil litigation.

Nicole has significant experience representing multinational corporations in government investigations, enforcement actions, and internal investigations involving anti-corruption, sanctions, export controls, product safety, and accounting issues, among other compliance-related issues. She also regularly advises clients on compliance policies, programs, and internal processes related to these subject matters. Nicole has conducted numerous compliance risk assessments and compliance trainings for multinational clients, including those in the technology, financial, consumer goods, aerospace, energy, transportation, and pharmaceutical industries.

She also has substantial experience in complex civil litigation matters, particularly those involving cross-border disputes. She has represented clients in civil litigation matters involving trademark infringement, contract disputes, data privacy issues, and fraud, and regularly represents clients in matters involving litigants outside of the United States.

Nicole obtained her Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in 2014 (cum laude). She earned her Bachelor of Law degree from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Prior to attending law school, Nicole worked for a Korean conglomerate in Seoul, Korea for several years.

She is fluent in Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and English.
