Adam Lapidus

Adam Lapidus is of counsel in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s Derivatives Practice Group and Cleantech Industry Group.

Adam advises both end users and dealers on structuring, documenting, and negotiating transactions across a broad range of derivatives products. Such products include equity derivatives, interest rate hedges, commodity derivatives, and privately negotiated FX and currency option transactions.

Adam’s practice also covers the margin, clearing, netting, and governance considerations related to derivatives transactions. In addition, he advises clients on the generation, sale, and purchase of renewable energy credits and carbon offsets.

Adam graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2009, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Fordham International Law Journal.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The University of Pennsylvania, magna cum laude, in 2005. Prior to entering private practice, Adam worked for nearly a decade as in-house counsel to financial institutions.
