BIOGRAPHY

Melina Kronester is an associate in the Munich office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group and the International Trade practice group.

Ms. Kronester focuses on corporate law, corporate transactions and corporate governance matters as well as international trade compliance and transactional regulatory risk assessments.

Ms. Kronester studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where she passed her first state examination in 2015 and at the Sapienza University of Rome. After her second state examination at the Higher Regional Court of Munich in 2017, she wrote her doctoral thesis at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and worked at the same time for a renowned German law firm.

During her studies and her clerkship she gathered international working experience at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna, at the EU Delegation to the OECD in Paris and at an NGO tackling corruption in Cape Town.

In 2021 she received her LL.M. degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York as a Fulbright scholar.

In addition to her native German, she speaks English and Italian.
