Matthew A. Kaplan

Associate Attorney

Matthew Kaplan is a corporate associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the firm’s Securities Regulation & Corporate Governance Practice Group.

Matthew received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 2019, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jack B. Weinstein of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Matthew holds a Master of Studies in Global and Imperial History from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts in History from King’s College London, where he graduated with first class honors.

Prior to joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, he was an associate in the New York office of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, where he worked on a variety of capital markets and public company matters.

Matthew is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
