Travis D. Jones is an associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He is a member of the Litigation Practice Group and has extensive experience conducting jury trials, depositions, and investigations.
Travis joined Gibson Dunn as an Associate in 2023. He graduated cum laude from SMU’s Dedman School of Law. There, he served as Chair of the SMU Board of Advocates and President of the SMU Barristers. Travis competed on the National Mock Trial Competition Team and won first place in the SMU’s Negotiations and Mock Trial competitions. Upon graduation from SMU, he was accepted into the National Order of Barristers, awarded to the top ten courtroom advocates of a law school’s graduating class.
Before joining Gibson, Dunn Crutcher, Travis worked at a Chambers-ranked Band 1 litigation boutique in Dallas, Texas. He also served as a prosecutor for the U.S. Navy, Judge Advocates General’s (JAG) Corps, where he prosecuted cases on behalf of the USS NIMITZ (CVN-68), USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70), and Marine Corps Security Force Battalion. During his time in the Navy, he was presented the New York City Bar Association Trial Advocacy Award for excellence in courtroom advocacy.
Travis is recognized in D Magazine’s 2023 and 2024 Best Lawyers Under 40 list.
