Nick Harper

Associate Attorney

Nick Harper is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department and is a member of the firm’s Appellate and Constitutional Law and Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Groups.

Nick has represented clients in appellate, regulatory, and complex litigation matters across various industries. His experience spans a wide range of subject matters, including constitutional law, contract law, securities fraud, class actions, antitrust, and administrative law.

Since 2015, he has served as a law clerk for then-Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, Justice Anthony M. Kennedy on the Supreme Court of the United States, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court of the United States. Nick earned his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 2015. He received his B.A. in Economics and Classics from the University of Notre Dame in 2009.

Nick is a member of the bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and D.C. Circuits.
