Cate Harding

Associate Attorney

Caitlin Harding is an associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2019, where she served as an Articles Editor for the NYU Journal of Legislation and Public Policy as well as a board member for the National Security Law Society. While in law school, Cate was a clinical student and extern for the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program focusing on legislative advocacy opposing executive branch policies related to extreme vetting and the Travel Ban. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in 2010 in Public Policy Studies.

Before attending law school, Cate worked at the U.S. Agency for International Development, primarily in a policy coordination role in the Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs and later as an information officer based in Adana, Turkey where she reported on the U.S. Government’s cross-border response to the Syrian humanitarian crisis.
