Lauren R. Goldman is a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s Class Actions, Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Innovation, and Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Groups. Ms. Goldman’s practice focuses on high-stakes class- and mass-action disputes, particularly in the area of data privacy.
Ms. Goldman has also served as lead legal strategy counsel to a major consumer-products company for over a decade in connection with more than a dozen high-stakes jury trials, including two cases in which the plaintiffs unsuccessfully sought more than $1 billion in damages and has successfully challenged many excessive punitive damages awards at trial and on appeal.
The American Lawyer recently included Ms. Goldman in its “Litigators of the Week” series (October 22, 2021) for her work serving as defense counsel to Meta at a trial in the Northern District of California. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk to Judge Dennis Jacobs of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
