Douglas Colby

Associate Attorney

Douglas Colby is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, he clerked for the Honorable Jerry E. Smith of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Douglas received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. While in law school, he served as an Executive Editor on the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy and published a scholarly piece with the Journal. Douglas also served as the President of the Harvard Federalist Society and received the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership.

Prior to law school, he worked as a management consultant and also in nonprofit development. He graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics.

Douglas is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
