Dharak Bhavsar is a Registered Foreign Lawyer (New York) and an associate in the Hong Kong office. He is a member of the firm’s International Trade Practice Group.
Dharak advises clients on compliance and related issues at the intersection of international trade and national security. Specifically, he advises clients on the full spectrum of matters relating to U.S. export controls, CFIUS, economic sanctions and other U.S. legislation implicating similar considerations (e.g., the CHIPS Act and the Inflation Reduction Act). He has significant experience advising clients across a diverse range of industrial sectors and geographies.
Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Dharak practiced international trade and mergers and acquisitions with two leading international law firms in New York, Washington D.C. and Hong Kong.
He graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2016 and is admitted to practice in New York and Washington, DC.
