Luca Bernini is an Of Counsel in the London office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Mr. Bernini is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity practice groups.

Mr. Bernini’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on cross-border private equity and infrastructure transactions in Europe.  He has advised clients on auction processes, consortium deals, preferred equity and debt investments, minority and control investments, joint ventures, add-on acquisitions, and exit strategies.

Mr. Bernini has also extensive experience in venture capital and growth equity transactions, including early and later stage investments following NVCA and BVCA standards.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Bernini practised in the London and Milan offices of an international law firm and in the Milan office of a domestic law firm.

Mr. Bernini received his law degree with honors from Università Commerciale L. Bocconi in Milan in 2008 and an LL.M. with honors from Columbia Law School, New York, in 2012, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.  He is admitted to practice in England & Wales and Italy.  Mr. Bernini is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English.
