The 2021 edition of Managing IP Handbook recognized Gibson Dunn among the top Patent Contentious firms in the United States, and additionally recognized the firm’s California, New York, and Texas practices for their Patent Contentious work. Based on recommendations from peers and clients, the guide also named 17 partners and associates as stars. Washington D.C. partner Howard Hogan was named a Copyright Star. Century City partner Wayne Barsky, Dallas partner Mark Reiter, Los Angeles partner Debra Wong Yang, New York partners Benjamin Hershkowitz, Josh Krevitt, Jane Love, Brian Rosenthal, and Daniel Thomasch, Orange County partner Kenneth Parker, San Francisco associate Jaysen Chung, and Washington, D.C. partner Brian Buroker were named Patent Stars. Howard Hogan and Kenneth Parker were also named Trademark Stars. Denver associate Christine Ranney, Los Angeles of counsel Jennifer Rho, and Jaysen Chung were named Rising Stars.
